How we choose topics

We write about games, studios and mechanics that help readers understand how slots work, with a particular focus on how titles within a series differ. We do not accept payment to cover a game or a studio.

How we check facts

Specific facts about a named game or studio, such as release dates, feature rules or published figures, come from primary sources: the studio's own game pages and official announcements. Each guide lists the sources it relies on. When two sources describe something differently, we say so. When a detail cannot be confirmed, we say that it is unconfirmed rather than filling the gap.

How we write

We use plain English, label invented examples clearly as examples, and avoid language that suggests a game is due to pay or that any approach changes the odds. Published figures such as return-to-player percentages are reported as the studio states them, with a reminder that the figure in the version you open is the one that applies.

Responsible play
